The upgrade is complete, and for now everything seems to be running smoothly.
The upgrade went very well.
You can now search the
online catalog, place
holds and resume circulation. Many thanks to the LLSAP staff for their hours
of hard work and preparation.
Thank you for your patience while the automated system was down. Because of
your cooperation and preparation, few problems were encountered when
libraries logged back on.
Wednesday, March 23 will be the next meeting of the
Southern Planning Panel. The meeting will begin at 10 am at the
Hilton Garden Inn Conference Center in Effingham.
Tuesday, March 29 the
Librarians Advisory Committee and
Medium Pubs will be meeting at RPLS. Advisory Committee starts at 9:30
am and Medium Pubs at noon.
On Wednesday, April 6 plan to attend hands-on workshops at the
Chatham Area Public Library District on how to access the
2010
Census data. There are two sessions –
9 AM and
1 PM. Each session will run approximately 3 hours. It is important for
public libraries to understand how to access past and current census data so
that they can assist the public in finding the correct data for their needs.

A
Southern Planning Panel meeting will be held on
Friday April 8, starting at 10 am at at the
Knights of Columbus Hall in Effingham. Also on that date, a
Free-Form-Free-For-All for Youth Services Librarians will be held at the
Vespasian Warner Library District in Clinton beginning at 9 AM.
