March 2nd, Rolling Prairie Library System celebrated it's 40th Anniversary at the
Hickory Point Banquet facility in Forsyth. We
had a delicious dinner, followed by a program. The evening was fun! Marrowbone
Public Library won the bookcart decorating contest with their entry, "Paws for a
good book." The other entries were "Get in the 'habit' of reading."
from Springfield College of Illinois, "Oh, the books you'll read." from
Taylorville CUSD, and even the Illinois State Library joined in the fun. Members
enjoyed the a contest to “name that RPLS staff member.” There were no perfect
scores, but everyone had fun. There was a slide show of pictures from the past,
some RPLS trivia, and special guests speaking about Systems and RPLS. Thanks to
all who came and celebrated with us!
