Tech Plan Tuesday
Do you need to write a technology plan for the library? Do you have a
technology plan that needs to be updated?
If you answered either of these questions with a yes, then Tech
Tuesdays is for you. Jan. 26, Feb. 9 and Feb. 23, 2010 are the
designated Tech Tuesdays. We shall use
TechAtlas at each
hour-long session to cover the components you need in a technology plan.
Between sessions you will have assignment to complete. At the end of the
three sessions you will have a completed technology plan ready for Board
approval.
Prerequisite: Completed

- Setting goals and Objectives for your plan

- Complete the first three components
- Begin writing goals and objectives
- Conduct staff skills assessment

- What is Professional Development, and how do I write it in the

- Begin plan budget

- Refine Goals and

Session 3 Topics:
- Review of
Budgeting for technology plan
- Evaluation of the
technology plan
- Policies to
include with the plan
- How to complete
and print out your plan

Homework Session 3:
- Complete the plan
- Print out and
send to RPLS for review
- Update and
finalize plan
- Seek Board
approval for technology plan.
