Audience: New or un-trained staff who need or want a hands-on introduction to the DRA system and module, or staff who need or want a review of the DRA system and modules as well as basic computer skills, software knowledge, cataloging vocabulary, and MARC field introduction.

Learning Objectives: Students will develop or review the basic computer skills and software knowledge required to use the DRA System for copy cataloging and circulation as well as to access the Web-based training materials that support the DRA Staff Training Sessions. Students will gain knowledge of cataloging vocabulary and MARC fields introduction.

Description: Hands-on introduction for new or un-trained staff on the DRA system and modules. Computer practice and skills review is included. Overview and demonstration of Internet Explorer and/or Netscape to access the training Website; Smartterm (or other terminal program) connection to DRA practice database; and program options on the DRA practice database. This course is to be completed by individuals who wish to attach items in the database.
