Lincoln Library and the Springfield Schools received $2728 to produce a video highlighting Sangamon County libraries.  Sangamon area librarians will be invited to take a one-day bus trip to featured libraries.  Funds will be used to purchase a digital camcorder and cover the costs of the bus trip.

On Friday, September 21, Sangamon County librarians are invited to tour 6 Sangamon area libraries.  The chartered bus will leave from Lincoln Library at 8:45 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m.  The tour will include a visit to the Illinois State Historical Library, Springfield High School Library, Sherman Public Library, Lincoln Land Community College Library,  Illinois Early Childhood Clearinghouse and Lincoln Library.  Brief presentations will be made at each facility.  Lunch and refreshments will be provided.  CPDU's are also available.  Contact Lois Morse at 217-753-4900, ext. 221 or via e-mail at loism@rpls.lib.il.us for more information or to register for your 'Ticket to Ride'.  Space is limited to the first 47 registrants.
